Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Passport Photo mobile application and related website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Passport Photo provides tools to crop, format, and prepare photographs for common identity-document requirements. The Service is a convenience tool and does not provide legal, immigration, government, or professional photography advice.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them. You are responsible for keeping your device and any account credentials secure.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may require a one-time purchase or subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscription details, price, billing interval, renewal terms, and trial conditions are shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. We do not control Apple billing or refunds; refund requests must be directed to Apple.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, upload unlawful or infringing content, impersonate another person, or use the Service to create deceptive identity documents.

5. Your photos and content

You retain ownership of photos you submit. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights and permissions required to use each photo. Do not upload photos of another person without their permission.

6. Requirements and accuracy

Government agencies define their own photo requirements. We do not guarantee that a photo will be accepted. You are responsible for checking current official requirements, reviewing the final image, and submitting the correct format.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content, belongs to Passport Photo or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; no ownership rights are transferred.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Passport Photo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for rejected applications, missed travel, or loss of data. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access for abuse, security concerns, or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Passport Photo is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Questions can be sent to support@passportphoto.app.
