Passport Photo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Passport Photo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Passport Photo app and website. We designed the product to help you prepare identity photos while respecting the sensitive nature of those images.

1. Information we collect

Photos and camera content. When you choose or capture a photo, the app processes it to provide cropping, formatting, and export features. Where the feature permits, processing occurs on your device. We do not use your photos for advertising or sell them.

Purchase information. Apple processes App Store payments. We may receive limited transaction information such as product purchased, subscription status, and transaction identifiers, but we do not receive your full payment card number.

Technical information. We may receive device type, operating-system version, app version, language, approximate region, crash diagnostics, and basic usage events needed to operate and improve the Service. We do not intentionally collect precise location.

Support messages. If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide so we can respond and resolve your request.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, troubleshoot, personalize, and improve the Service; process and validate purchases; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and communicate important service or policy updates. We do not use identity photos for facial recognition or biometric identification.

3. Crisp support chat

Our website uses Crisp, a customer-support chat service, to help us respond to questions. Crisp may process chat messages, contact details you provide, device/browser information, and cookies or similar technologies. You can choose not to provide personal information in chat. Learn more in Crisp’s privacy documentation at crisp.chat/en/privacy.

4. Sharing information

We may share information with service providers that host, secure, analyze, or support the Service; Apple as needed for App Store transactions; professional advisers; law enforcement when legally required; or a successor in a merger or asset transfer. We do not sell personal information or share photos for targeted advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

Photos may remain on your device or in locations you choose when exporting or saving them. We retain support and technical records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. You can delete photos from your device and any exported location at any time. To request deletion of information held by us, email support@passportphoto.app; we may need to verify your request.

6. Permissions and choices

The app may request camera and photo-library access. You can deny or later change permissions in your device settings, though some features may not work. You can control cookies through browser settings. App Store subscription cancellation is managed through your Apple account settings.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact us to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. International transfers and changes

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. We will update this Policy when our practices change and will post the new effective date. Contact us at support@passportphoto.app with privacy questions.
